Since 2014, CSI has successfully implemented ongoing programs for adolescents and youth: Girl Talk, Girl Power; Keeping Youth Healthy, Alive, Informed; and Safina for Orphans and Vulnerable Children. CSI YES program bridges identified gaps for adolescents and youth especially orphans and vulnerable children who often lack the resources and support to pursue post-primary education or opportunities for their own development in order to succeed in life. YES program gives students the chance to focus on their passion through vocational courses, develop leadership skills, ethical business values, plus empower them to live to their full potential to earn a living, sustain themselves, and give back to their families and communities. This program gives young men and women hope and reminds them: yes we believe in you; yes CSI will support you; and with YES you will achieve your dreams!
Meet CSI's 2018 YES Recipients
From lack of school fees, early marriage, to traditional beliefs that a girl shouldn't go to school, millions of girls in developing countries remain vulnerable. These three young ladies in Uganda, never thought they would ever set foot in a classroom after dropping out in primary school. One of them never went past nursery/kindergarten. Their unfortunate circumstances are not unique as many adolescent girls including orphans do share similar painful experiences. CSI's YES program in collaboration with accredited vocational schools is making a difference, impacting lives, and contributing to national efforts to ensure social equity for young people especially girls. On January 22, 2018, their journey to achieve their dreams commenced at Namasuba College of Commerce. They each received a brand new sewing machine and they continue to be mentored through their learning experiences. We are proud of these amazing, determined, and smart girls for not giving up on their dreams. #CSIYes #GirlTalkGirlPower To donate and support CSI 's YES 2018 winners, click here.

After one-year at Namasuba College of Commerce learning to read, write, measure, balance worksheets, and more, these young women's lives have been transformed through CSI's YES program. They each earned a Certificate in Fashion and Design and have started their business. Their story can be for every girl!
